Abstract:
In light of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, which eliminated all crew and passengers of four airliners and produced mass casualties on the ground, OM professionals must re-examine their crisis management programs to ensure that they are in the best possible shape. This article discusses the logistical components of such programs and stresses training, psychological debriefing and defusing, and reintegration of First Responders.
