A bunch of needles: conflicts and commonalities between East and West

There are fundamental differences between Eastern and Western views of healthcare including the interpretation of 'health' and 'illness', ways in which the human system is perceived, and how diagnoses and treatment are carried out by respective physicians. These concepts are explored in relation to the use of Traditional Chinese Medicines and present nursing theories and practices.
