    Ring scotomata, a type of visual field defect, are linked to fundus flavimaculatus. This finding helps explain vision issues in patients with fundus flavimaculatus, even with normal central vision.

    • Fundus flavimaculatus is a rare inherited retinal dystrophy characterized by yellowish flecks in the fundus.
