Pancreatic function after acute biliary pancreatitis: does it change?

Summary
Acute biliary pancreatitis patients typically recover pancreatic function if the cause is treated. This study found no long-term exocrine or endocrine pancreatic deficits after acute biliary pancreatitis, regardless of disease severity.
