Summary

Diabetes mellitus, both insulin-dependent (IDDM) and non-insulin-dependent (NIDDM), significantly impairs gaze-holding, vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR), and optokinetic reflex (OKR) functions, alongside increased postural sway.
