Summary

Distinct integrins activate different signaling pathways in monocytic cells. Beta1 and beta2 integrins activate extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), but only beta1 integrin requires phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI-3K) for Nuclear factor kappaB (NF-kappaB) activation.
