Abstract:
Historical data on the Meckel's diverticulum are presented together with the analysis of the latest published literature data. A case is described of concomitant Meckel's flegmonous diverticulum and gangrenous appendicitis in a child eight years old with the clinical picture outlined at the time of admission into the hospital and surgical and conservative treatments administered.
