Summary

An abnormally long common channel in the pancreaticobiliary ductal system, known as anomalous pancreaticobiliary ductal union (APBDU), increases gallbladder cancer risk, especially without choledochal cysts. Early detection via ERCP is crucial for patients with unexplained abdominal pain and gallbladder wall thickening.
