    Summary

This study on 47 women undergoing cesarean delivery found that Dormicum (a benzodiazepine derivative) significantly influences consciousness and pain response. Anesthetic combinations provide reliable protection against operative stress and ensure adequate anesthesia during cesarean births.

    Area of Science:

    • Anesthesiology
    • Obstetrics
    • Pharmacology

    Context:

    • Cesarean delivery in cases of pelvic-fetal disproportion, pelvic abnormalities, or malpresentation.
    • Assessment of patient consciousness, pain response, and communication during surgery.

    Purpose:

    • To evaluate the impact of Dormicum (a benzodiazepine derivative) on consciousness and pain perception during cesarean sections.
    • To assess the efficacy of various anesthetic combinations in protecting against operative stress and ensuring adequate anesthesia.

    Summary:

    • 47 women undergoing cesarean delivery were studied.
    • The study investigated the effects of anesthetic agents, including Dormicum, on patient consciousness and pain response.
    • Anesthetic regimens like thiopental-kalipsol, dormicum-kalipsol, and thiopental/halothane (0.3%) were found to be effective.
