Abstract:
Results of surgical treatment 142 eyes of patients with traumatic cataracts complicated with accompanied pathology (corneal scars, anterior and posterior synechia, lens subluxation, anterior and posterior capsule defects and others) are analyzed. In 107 cases phacoemulsification was done, in other cases--lensectomy, intracapsular extraction or phacoaspiration of traumatic cataract. Indications and contraindications for traumatic cataract phacoemulsification are formulated.
