Worldwide trends in mortality from biliary tract malignancies

Global mortality from intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (a liver cancer) is rising significantly in both males and females. In contrast, mortality rates for extrahepatic biliary tract cancers are decreasing worldwide.
