[Hypogonadism in male patients with chronic liver disease]

On the basis of own investigations of the testosteron metabolism in hepatopathy must be assumed that the hypogonadism appearing in liver diseases is to be regarded as peripheral form, i.e. it is not centrally evoked by gonadotropin insufficiency. An own pathogenetic concept is discussed.
