Background:

  • Nickel allergic contact dermatitis (NACD) is the most prevalent allergy in North America, with a 14.3% incidence.
  • NACD incidence has risen from 10% a decade ago, presumed due to increased environmental nickel exposure, particularly from costume jewelry and belt buckles.

Purpose of the Study:
