Abstract:
Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa receptor inhibitors are the newest therapy for acute coronary syndrome (ACS). This article reviews the pathophysiology of ACS, the role of glycoprotein IIb/IIIa receptor inhibitors, and nursing care for patients undergoing this therapy and coronary interventions.
