    Background:

    • Hirsutism in women is a common endocrine disorder.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy of intramuscular depo-medroxyprogesterone acetate in treating hirsutism.
    • To assess the hormonal changes associated with this treatment.
    • To identify potential side effects of the therapy.

    Main Methods:

    • Twenty-four hirsute female patients received 100 mg of depo-medroxyprogesterone acetate intramuscularly every 15 days.
    • Hormonal levels, including 17-ketosteroids and plasma testosterone, were monitored.
    • Patient response and side effects were systematically recorded.

    • Twenty-three out of twenty-four patients showed significant improvement in abnormal hair growth.
