Summary

Home bleaching systems effectively whiten teeth but can cause sensitivity. NiteWhite Excel 2Z and Rembrandt Xtra-Comfort showed no thermal sensitivity, unlike the control fx product.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare the tooth whitening efficacy of three dentist-prescribed home-applied bleaching systems.
  • To identify the incidence of tooth sensitivity associated with these bleaching systems.

Main Methods:

  • Three systems (NiteWhite Excel 2Z, fx, Rembrandt Xtra-Comfort) were evaluated in 18 patients.
  • Patients used the assigned system for 2 weeks, following manufacturer instructions.
