Abstract:
Acute kidney insufficiency is exact defined organ insufficiency. It is due to the possibility of quantitative valuation of kidney's functions through some laboratory tests and research. The author tries to find direct dependence between the development of this complication and the age of the patient; and also between this and final exit of peritonitis. An object of this research are 460 patients with acute forms of peritonitis. In 379 (82 per cent) of the patients urea was under 16.7 and mortality-rate was 13 per cent, i.e. close to the total result for this disease. In 81 (18 per cent) value of urea is more than 16.7 and the death-rate in this group is 52 (64 per cent), i.e. to a large degree higher than that in total. Correlative coefficient r = 0.418 is the evidence for the correlation between this complication and the final exit of disease.
