Reducing symptoms and improving outcomes in patients with angina
1Cardiology Department, Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Trust, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Abstract:
Stable angina results in a heavy burden for both the individual patient, in terms of disability and increased risk of death, and society as a whole, in terms of cost to the health service. The National Service Framework for Coronary Heart Disease provides the opportunity for nurses to help improve the management of patients with this common chronic disease.
