Abstract:
Proteins are the main constructors or plastics in an organism. The formation of blood, muscles, cerebral tissue, hormones, or antibodies depends on an adequate makeup, and presence, of proteins. Starting from this premise, this article analyzes the biochemical aspects proteins have, their biological value, what their essential amino acids and their limiters are, to end by commenting on some of the most important nutritional factors a vegetarian diet has, related to the makeup, and presence, of proteins.

Conjugated Proteins
Nucleoproteins are protein complexes that contain nucleic acids, categorized as deoxyribonucleoproteins (DNPs) or ribonucleoproteins (RNPs) respectively. The nucleosome is a typical example of a DNP where nuclear DNA is associated with histone proteins. The major antigen for the Covid-19 virus SARS-CoV is an RNP that is critical...
The Proteasome
In this pathway, the target proteins are first tagged with small proteins called ubiquitin. A series of enzymes carry out the ubiquitination of the target proteins - E1 (ubiquitin-activating enzyme), E2 (ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme), and E3...
