Acute Erythroleukemia (AEL) is a rare hematologic malignancy, comprising 1-3% of acute leukemias.
Recent classifications by the World Health Organization & Society of Haematopathology redefined AEL into M6a and M6b subtypes.
The FAB classification previously grouped these under M6.
