Chaos as a scientific metaphor for the therapeutic relationship.

To provide an approach to psychotherapy of a psychotic experience through aspects of a single case.

Conclusions:
Appreciation of the water metaphor, and its deployment within Eastern philosophy and psychology, may help Western therapists develop further traditional interpersonal relations today.
