Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare subjective, clinical, and radiographic outcomes of primary cemented versus cementless femoral components in bilateral simultaneous THA.
  • To evaluate differences in complication rates, including thigh pain, loosening, osteolysis, and revision rates.
  • To assess the long-term efficacy of both fixation methods in a young patient cohort.

  • A prospective, comparative study involving 70 patients (<50 years old) undergoing bilateral simultaneous THA.
  • 140 primary cemented and cementless femoral components were implanted and compared.
