Background:

Observation:

  • A 36-year-old woman presented with epigastric pain radiating to her back.
  • Radiologic studies revealed a bulky retropancreatic soft tissue mass with cystic and solid components.
  • Complete tumor resection was not feasible due to adherence to the vena cava and liver.

Findings:

  • The patient experienced extensive tumor recurrence and liver metastasis during follow-up.
  • Retroperitoneal synovial sarcoma typically manifests as a nonspecific soft tissue mass.
