[A new model for reflux prevention following distal and total stomach resection]
Abstract:
By means of a short isoperistaltic invagination of a small bowel segment a valve mechanism has been developed experimentally. After complete or partial gastric resection (B II) reflux of alkaline intestinal secretion could be prevented. Even under extreme pathological conditions like head down position and external compression normal valve function has been achieved.
