Abstract:
Serum doxycycline levels were measured after intravenous administration of doxycycline to three patients receiving regular haemodialysis therapy. Drug levels were predictable, fell within the therapeutic range, and remained so throughout dialysis. Doxycycline did not accumulate and may be used safely in these patients. A dosage regimen is recommended for maintenance dialysis patients.
