Summary
Interleukin-12 (IL12) is not required for developing cells that transfer Farmer's Lung disease. However, IL12 is essential for the full expression of this hypersensitivity pneumonitis in recipient animals.

Background:
- Farmer's Lung, a hypersensitivity pneumonitis, is caused by Saccharopolyspora rectivirgula (SR) inhalation.
- Th1 cells mediate experimental hypersensitivity pneumonitis (EHP), with IL12 elevated in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) after SR exposure.
