Summary

Surgical repair of complete quadriceps tendon rupture yields excellent outcomes. Most patients regain their previous activity levels with minimal loss in knee function and strength after surgery.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the functional outcomes of patients who underwent surgical repair for quadriceps tendon rupture.
  • To analyze patient recovery, range of motion, and strength after operative intervention.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective analysis of 27 patients undergoing quadriceps tendon repair over seven years.
  • Assessment included functional knee questionnaires, clinical examination, and isokinetic testing (Biodex).

  • Excellent symptomatic outcomes reported (mean score 22.7/25).
