Abstract:
This article represents a historical review concerning a period of work of prominent Russian pathologist Prof. I. Davydovski on a field of gerontology. At the end of his professional activity I. Davydovski has organized a gerontological laboratory. His research works have been summarized in the popular monograph "Gerontology", which appeared in 1966. This book served as a guidance in general and systemic gerontology for many years.
