[Use of the Brdicka polarographic filtrate test for brain tumors]

The authors conducted a polygraphic study of the blood plasma proteins in 102 patients with brain tumors of a different histological structure. The data depicted a moderate statistically significant increase of the first and second catalytical waves in benign tumors and a significant (1.5 times more) increase in malignant and metastatical tumors in comparison to the data achieved in donors. This method can be used as a supplementary one for differential diagnostical purposes in the practice of neurooncology.
