Calcified brain metastases from lung adenocarcinoma may indicate longer survival. Low MIB-1 index and controlled primary tumors are key factors in prolonged patient outcomes following surgical resection.

Observation:

  • Two patients with calcified brain metastases from pulmonary adenocarcinoma were analyzed.
  • Both patients experienced prolonged survival and a benign clinical course post-surgery.
  • The male patient survived over 2 years, and the female patient over 3 years after metastasis removal.

Findings:

  • Surgical resection of calcified brain metastases led to prolonged survival in both cases.
  • Low MIB-1 indexes were observed in both patients' tumors.
