[Evaluation of interferon induced by rabies vaccines (author's transl)]

Abstract:
Two rabies vaccines originated from baby mouse brain or from human explant cells tissue culture (calf foetal kidney) with a high protection index induce in mice and hamsters a good interferon titre. It seems that the action of this kind of vaccine is double: non specific at the beginning by inducing interferon and later specific (4-5 days) by producing antibodies.
