Background:

  • CD10 is a cell surface endopeptidase implicated in regulating cell proliferation.
  • Downregulation of CD10 in lung cancer cell lines correlates with increased proliferation.
  • Previous studies suggest CD10 downregulation in lung cancer tissue, hinting at a role in carcinogenesis and potential prognostic value.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the expression rate of CD10 in a cohort of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues.
  • To evaluate the correlation between CD10 expression and clinicopathological parameters in NSCLC.
  • To determine if CD10 expression serves as a prognostic marker for patient survival in NSCLC.

Main Methods:

  • Immunohistochemical analysis was performed on 114 NSCLC tissue microarrays using a monoclonal CD10 antibody (clone NCL-CD10-270).
