Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate correlations between gallbladder disorders and patient factors such as age, sex, weight, diabetes duration, and autonomic neuropathy.

Main Methods:

  • Real-time ultrasonography was used to assess gallbladder disorders in 50 type 2 diabetic patients and 30 healthy controls.
  • Fasting gallbladder volume and post-meal contraction were measured and compared between groups.
