Abstract:
Anecdotes are valuable in traditional African medial practice, and we can only dismiss them at our peril. We need to probe them, explain them, and learn from them. Africa cannot afford to rely forever on imported drugs and we must therefore seriously investigate how our ancestors managed to survive.
