Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the effectiveness and limitations of cryosurgery for HPV lesions.
  • To define indications for adjuvant systemic alpha-2-interferon (a2-IFN) therapy.

  • A retrospective study of 123 patients with genital, anorectal, and perineal HPV lesions treated with cryosurgery.
  • 38 patients received adjuvant systemic a2-IFN.
  • Clinical examinations, cytology, PCR, and histology were utilized.
