Abstract:
Well-defined chiral fibers incorporating hydrogen-bonded oligo(p-phenylene vinylene) donor and perylene bisimide acceptor chromophores have been realized by self-assembly. Upon photoillumination of these fibers electron-transfer takes place, leading to charge separation within the aggregated dyes.
