Summary

Urinary deoxypyridinoline crosslinks (Dpd) normalized by creatinine are a bone resorption marker. Storing urine samples at -20°C for over 14 days is recommended to prevent falsely elevated Dpd/creatinine ratios due to creatinine degradation.
