Abstract:
Drosophila melanogaster mus309 mutations have been identified as being in the Ku70 gene, encoding one subunit of the DNA-dependent protein kinase. However, recent work has suggested that these mutations are in the Bloom's syndrome homologue. Here, we demonstrate that the coding sequence of Ku70 gene is indeed wild-type in two mus309 mutant lines.
