Abstract
Objective:
To provide a scientific evidence for the identification of Rhododendron species.
Method:
Investigation of the seed form of 5 species of Rhododendron was done by electronic microscope scanning.
Results:
R. simsii belongs to the wingless type, and R. augustinii, R. decorum, R. delavayi and R. discolor belong to the winged type.
Conclusion:
The 5 species of medicinal Rhododendron can be distinguished according to such features as the form, wing and rib of seeds.
