  • Bent-metallocene complexes are crucial in catalysis and materials science.
  • Chromium complexes, particularly in higher oxidation states, offer unique reactivity.
  • Ring borylation is a key transformation for functionalizing organometallic compounds.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To synthesize and structurally characterize a novel bent-metallocene chromium complex.
  • To investigate the thermal decomposition pathways of the synthesized complex.
  • To explore the reactivity of chromium in a high oxidation state (Cr(4+)).

Main Methods:

  • Ring borylation reaction using B(C6F5)3.
  • Single-crystal X-ray diffraction for structural determination.
