Summary

Spontaneous juvenile cataracts were observed in New Zealand White rabbits, with a 5.7% incidence, while hybrid rabbits showed a lower 1.1% rate. These findings suggest a potential autosomal recessive inheritance pattern for rabbit cataracts.
