Abstract:
A new sesquiterpene of humulene type, named 2beta, alpha-epoxy-6Z, 9Z-humuladien-8alpha-ol (1) together with a known compound lactarinic acid was isolated from the fruiting bodies of Lactarius hirtipes. Their structures were established on the basis of spectral evidence (MS, IR, NMR, HMBC, HMQC, 1H-1H COSY, ROSEY experiments). Compound 1 was found as the first humulene-type sesquiterpene in higher fungi.
