[Subacute thyroiditis]

Six cases with subacute thyroiditis of De-Kerven are discussed, considered as a relatively rare disease. The clinical manifestations are analyzed as well as the diagnostic tests, evolution and treatment and the etiological factors, leading to its origination. An opinion is expressed that the disease is not so rare as considered so far.
