[Myasthenia gravis: surgical treatment with thymectomy (author's transl)]
Abstract:
Thymectomy may be an effective treatment of Myasthenia gravis. 25% of the 16 patients had a complete remission of the disease, 70% remarcable improvement. Half of the patients were able to resume working. Diagnostic methods, surgical and postoperative problems are discussed. Lateral left thoracotomy is recommended.
