Population problems in the South Pacific islands: an overview
Abstract:
"This paper attempts to pull together a broad review of what is known about--or, in many cases, presumed to be--the current demographic situation in the islands of the Pacific, and point out some economic and social consequences of those demographic trends." Data are included on births, deaths, natural increase, migration, education, health services, remittances, the dependent population, employment, and food supply.
