Abstract:
An extract obtained from dessicated white cabbage with the help of chloroform and introduced subcutaneously or perorally to sexually immature mice in an equivalent corresponding to 5 g of the dry product for a space of 4--6 days displayed an extrogenic action. Long-term storage, souring, cooking of the cabbage result in a somewhat diminished estrogenic activity of the cabbage.
