Abstract:
"This article deals with the analysis of recent developments in labour participation by mothers [in the Netherlands].... The results of the analysis show a strong period effect, although the rate of change is declining. Further, young women who have their first child at the ages 20-24 have a significantly lower labour participation rate compared with older women.
