[Functional morphology of the myocardium in cardiac insufficiency]
Kardiologiia
|October 1, 1975
Abstract:
Changes in the functional morphology of the myocardium in patients on different stages of cardiac insufficiency were studied. Edema of sarcoplasm and destruction of ultrastructural organelles were observed in the muscle cells in progressing cardiac insufficiency. Significant shifts in the activity of some redox enzymes and changes in the fluorescence spectrum of the muscle fibres were demonstrated. Different correlations were observed in the morphological structure and tissue metabolism of the myocardium in the development of the compensatory adaptional reactions.
