Summary

Researchers isolated five compounds from Cochlospermum tinctorium roots, including a novel 1-hydroxyalkan-3-one. One compound, 3-O-E-p-coumaroylalphitolic acid, showed significant antiplasmodial activity with an IC50 of 2.3 microM.
