Cultivating our human resources

In the past, work force shortages were viewed as episodic and part of the natural ebb and flow of school enrollment and interest levels in the profession. Now, we are taking a look at what seems clearly to be a collision between peak patient demands as the baby boom generation ages and a severely shrinking influx of health care professionals and we realize that we are heading into uncharted waters.
